Wind Tunnel

Topic: Mechanics - Air pressure, Aerodynamics

Equipment: Wind tunnel tube on stand

Setup: Plug and play. Keep hands clear of the fan.

Use the knob to change the angle of the plane wing, and observe how it moves up and down when the angle is changed. The wing is shaped such that air moving underneath it moves slower than the air moving on top of it. This difference in wind speed causes an upward force on the wing, allowing for flight.
