Equipment: Angular pendulum apparatus
Setup: Use the mounted level to level the apparatus. Then loosen/tighten the winged nut to change the angle of the pendulum.
As the angle of the pendulum changes, so will the frequency of oscillations. This should not be very surprising, since we know from classical mechanics that the length of a pendulum is inversely proportional to its frequency. We find that in this case, when the angle is increased (as shown below), the frequency will decrease.
