Experimental Techniques

Figure 1: Experimental apparatus for measuring colloidal interactions and dynamics. Based on a conventional optical microscope, this system combines video imaging with optical tweezer manipulation, total internal reflection (TIR) particle tracking, and single-particle light scattering. The entire system, including environmental control and monitoring for the sample, is computer controlled.
