NYU Saturday Science Workshop for High School Teachers

This workshop was conducted by Glennys Farrar, Professor of Physics at NYU, to provide the HS teachers involved in the NYSCPT Summer Institute an overview of ultra high energy cosmic particles. Topics of discussion included the definition and origins of cosmic rays, a description of high-energy astrophysical objects, the detection of cosmic particles at Earth, and the unresolved mysteries surrounding ultra-high energy cosmic particles.
