Prof. Alberto Sirlin was a distinguished and beloved member of the NYU Physics department for over 70 years. His life-long research on weak interactions and the Standard Model of elementary particles was groundbreaking and universally recognized by the physics community. Prof. Sirlin received the J.J. Sakurai prize of the American Physical Society and other important awards in recognition of his achievements. This meeting honors his memory and his continuing scientific legacy.
