Shaka, King of the Zulus, found his way into our lives on December 30, 2007. He was bred by Cynthia Tidmore from Tidmores Rising Star German Shepherds. His mom, Tidmores Rising Star Beauty, can be seen here, while his dad, Ch. Samuri's Cody Banks, can be found here (Note that the link to Cody doesn't always work, so click it twice to be sure before you give up). Originally named Tidmore's Rising Star Coal, he was 9 weeks old, very dark, and already 17 pounds! We've now had him for almost a month and he's close to 25 pounds. He's a beautiful German Shepherd who may turn out to be a show prospect, but above all, will be a wonderful companion and a loyal friend to Snak.

In jail.

"Dunno what I did, but it got me out of the slammer!"

"Who is this big creature, and why am I off-center?!"

Not enough time in the day to play with them all!

"Did you know this thing squeaked?"

Tired from all that squeaking!

"I know I did something wrong, but you haven't found it yet!"

"What? I can't enjoy Dad's stinky feet every once in a while?"

"Oh, okay, as long as you replaced it with my favorite toy!"

Look at those soulful, brown eyes!

Ready to pounce on that bully stick!

"No, I won't hold still!"

"Fine. But be quick about it!"

Look, Ma! My ears are coming up!

"When I arch my head back, they stand straight!"

"Really, don't be jealous that I'm such a fine speciman."

"That mat is just a suggestion, right?"

Cuteness=Immunity

Learning to leopard crawl from his dad.

Camouflage.

"Seeya, suckas!"

Watchdog in training.

"That squirrel is coming after me!"

"One day, I'll wrassle that alligator. Just you wait!"

Shake paws and fight fair.

"That fur is so easy to grab!"

A mid-play snuggle.

"I can hold you back with one pad!"

"This is getting interesting! Maybe I should concentrate!"
