Kyle Cranmer gives keynote at NIPS 2016 on "Machine Learning and Likelihood Free Inference in Particle Physics"! NIPS is the largest machine learning and artificial intelligence conference in the world with 6000 people registered this year!

It was an excellent opportunity to discuss our recent work with Gilles Louppe and others on Approximating Likelihood Ratios with Calibrated Discriminative Classifiers, carl, Learning to Pivot with Adversarial Networks, Unifying generative models and exact likelihood-free inference, Better Higgs Measurements Through Information Geometry, and QCD-inspired recursive neural networks for jet embeddings.
