Eli was appointed as Turquoise's chief executive in October 2007. He was formerly a managing director in Morgan Stanley's European Sales & Trading Division, where he
oversaw the electronic trading business for equity and fixed income products. Eli joined Morgan Stanley in New York in 1993 in derivatives risk management before
developing and leading a business around portfolio analytics and electronic trading. In London since 2001, Eli served as co-chair of the FIX Steering Committee for
Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2004 to 2006. Eli received his Sc.B. in physics from Brown University in Rhode Island, and his Ph.D., also in physics, from New York
University. From 1991 to 1993, he was a post-doctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University. Eli has lived in London since 2001. He and his wife, Gail, have 3 children.
